Liubao tea is a post-fermented dark tea from Wuzhou, Guangxi, China. With over 1,500 years of history, it is known for its unique betel nut aroma and smooth, mellow taste that improves with aging.

How should I store Liubao tea?

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from strong odors. Keep in its original packaging or a breathable ceramic jar. Liubao tea continues to age and improve over time.

How do I brew Liubao tea?

Use 5g tea per 100ml water at 95-100C. Rinse briefly first, then steep 10-30 seconds for the first infusion, extending subsequent infusions. A clay teapot or gaiwan is ideal.

Does Liubao tea expire?

No. Properly stored Liubao tea does not expire. Like fine wine, it improves with age. Many collectors treasure teas aged 10, 20, or even more years.

Is Liubao tea caffeinated?

Yes, Liubao tea contains caffeine, though generally less than green or black tea. Aged Liubao tends to have lower caffeine levels due to the fermentation process.

What are the health benefits of Liubao tea?

Liubao tea is rich in antioxidants and probiotics from post-fermentation. It may aid digestion, support gut health, help regulate cholesterol, and promote overall wellness.
